Who are you, and what do you do?
I’m Phil Gerbyshak, professional speaker, writer, social media lover, and a heavy IT user and supporter. In long, that means I do many presentations talking about the people side of technology, and how to leverage tools to connect better with the people you need to be connected. In short, that means I’m a relationship geek.
What hardware are you using?
Depends. I have a Dell laptop that I absolutely love. It’s bright yellow, and it works very well. I’ve been playing with Windows since the beginning. I also have a Macbook pro that I’m learning how to use, and it’s fun too. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my Motorola Android phone, that allows me to be on the go and still be connected.
And what software?
I love all things Google: Gmail, Chrome, Google Docs, and I’m learning to use some of their other tools. I also love Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, PowerPoint, Seesmic, Firefox and anything else that can make me more effective and efficient.
What would be your dream setup?
I’d love twin 23” monitors running Windows 7 with 4 GBs of RAM and the fastest processor available on a super high speed internet connection, right next to a 26” Mac, with all the software as a service I could handle.
